Obama did not suffer the pain of having an economy collapse on his watch: he signed up for it. Having signed up for it, we can hold him accountable for his inability to fix it. While few politicians would say, "You know, I'm just not equipped to handle the mess that will face me; this isn't want I was bargaining for, and my opponent could do a better job," that's actually what we should expect.

As I also maintain, presidents should expect disasters to occur on their watch. Clinton was singularly fortunate, but look at what Bush had: 9/11, Katrina, a blackout in 2003, a struggling economy, and the housing market collapse. Bush 41 got a recession and the Persian Gulf War. Reagan started off with double-digit inflation and the Cold War. I could go on, but it would be tedious beyond belief; anyone with any brains should know that a President should expect horrible disasters and be ready to take charge, no matter whose fault they are, because that's the job description.

Unfortunately, we elected a half-black, half-wit Paris Hilton, so it's going to be a rough four years.Roxeanne de Lucahttp://www.haemet.blogivists.comnoreply@blogger.com
