Pelosi ready to subvert government

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is now ready to pass the largest and most encompassing piece of legislation ever to pass through the halls of Congress, and she intends to do so without having the Congress vote on it.

"After laying the groundwork for a decisive vote this week on the Senate's health-care bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Monday that she might attempt to pass the measure without having members vote on it."

That's a nice trick. Our representatives in Congress will forever change our lives and the nations healthcare, and they wont even have to vote. What the hell?!!
"Instead, Pelosi (D-Calif.) would rely on a procedural sleight of hand: The House would vote on a more popular package of fixes to the Senate bill; under the House rule for that vote, passage would signify that lawmakers "deem" the health-care bill to be passed."

They shall "deem" the law to have passed. Can I do that? Just deem things to be as I wish them to be? No, huh?
"she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the measure."

That is why we put them in office..to represent us. That is why we call them 'representatives'. That is why this is called a "Representative Republic". The people are represented in the halls of congress by people we have chosen to represent us. Now Ms. Pelosi wants to pass the government sanctioned takeover of the US healthcare industry, and she doesn't want the representatives to have to vote?!!

You can say that again. Didn't this country use to have leaders that believed in the freedoms and fundamental principles that this nation was founded upon? If any of them could speak today, what might they say?
