Hmm...sounds like the Obama way of doing things. But the White House has responded saying "Oh, contrare..."
“The President didn’t say that and Senator Kyl knows it," White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer told ABC News. "There are more resources dedicated toward border security today than ever before, but, as the President has made clear, truly securing the border will require a comprehensive solution to our broken immigration system."
Well, President Obama says it isn't true. President Obama says securing the southern border is a prime goal of his. President Obama says he has placed a great deal of resources toward the purpose of securng our southern boarder, so however much you can trust President Obama you can rest assured that Senator Kyle has been a big fat fibber.
Of course, looking at past experiences there was the meeting president Obama had with Jim Owen, the CEO of Caterpillar, after which the President announced that due to his stimulus plan, Caterpillar was going to re-hire laid off employees. This apparently was news to Jim Owen:
Obama has said twice in the past two days that Caterpillar CEO James Owens indicated his company would be able to rehire some of the 20,000 recently laid-off employees.
"Yesterday, Jim, the head of Caterpillar, said that if Congress passes our plan, this company will be able to rehire some of the folks who were just laid off," Obama said today in Peoria.
But when asked today if the stimulus could do that, Owens said, "I think, realistically, no. The honest reality is we're probably going to have more layoffs before we start hiring again."
Oops.
As to the issue at hand, we have the White House subverting the rule of law by refusing to enforce current immigration law, and castigating the people of Arizona for having the temerity to try to address the issue themselves. But regarding Kyl, they claim an entirely different story for their purpose and motive.
The fact that we are dealing with a serial liar is correct.
The problem is, he lives in the White House.
It only makes sense. Behind all the fluff and gush from this administration is a pattern of deception (remember Kathleen Sebelius sitting on updated reports about NancyCare numbers being bunk, along with all manner of obfuscation on tax issues ranging from the simple to the complex, e.g., Obama Care is a fee, not a tax, or is it the other way around if enforced by the IRS???).
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the Democrats need these votes to secure power should be painfully obvious. Apparently a massive entitlement mentality that now infects a good portion of the voting nation is not secure enough.
So they hold entire states hostage, put guns to people's heads over the Orwellian "mandate" horsecrap required of ObamaCare (IE-the use of force) and throw out confusing gorilla dust on a host of real headscratchers like VAT, the Hamas Love Boat, Cap-n-Tax, and how spending trillions now suddenly is the golden brick road to saving money.
Note also that as with the bleeding out over immigration and the millions of potential Democratic voters being courted even as we speak for all manner of glop and handouts that are already busting ER rooms and social service agencies the nation over, also we have red ink spilling out of Washington, and actual oil spilling out in the Gulf. In all three cases, the response of the Man-child is to let the bleeding commence. As with Oil now a Green 911, letting things bleed out on the border also highlights the "need" for what's next down the pike.
OilGate will lead to CapnTrade and a more regulated and expensive, job-killing crunch of industry, albeit ineffective for healing the waters or lowering them. Likewise on immigration, our only net gain will be tax hikes and payouts.
It's truly an astonishing situation.
When do people ever learn that it takes more integrity to make actual change than Hope-McChangemass, name-calling, suing entire states, threatening small businesses, mocking free markets, and coddling dictators and aspiring nuke warriors, dissing allies like Israel and Britain, and playing golf while oil gushes in the Gulf of Mexico?
Imagine if "George W. Monkey Bush, the dummy" were at the helm during all the above, playing golf?
Michael Moore caught Bush on a golf cart at a completely different moment, and it became part of legendary film making in Fahrenheit 911
Your jaded, cutting commentary is strikingly spot on, Wakes.
ReplyDeleteCap'nTrade ... check!
ReplyDeleteCap-the-Gusher ... meh!
That's a good one, Ilion!

Hope like hell it's not jaded as well. That would mean I'm worn out, as are the observations.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, that might be the reason I can't get motivated for more posts, more often.
Overloaded, and too much coming around to try and bat down.
Things are out of control here, Nick.
Me too. This blogging stuff just drains down the time. I have a job and a family that are expecting a little more from me, or rather I expect to be providing more of me to them. So much of this is hard to pass by. Nevertheless I need to temper my efforts with a bit of wisdom.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun though.
Family and work will have to take up more time than now. Gettin' S T R E T C H E D very thin these days.
ReplyDeleteNeed to be on a desert island somewhere, like on LOST. No Jacobs, no Charlies, no Kates, no Hugos or Dr. Linuses to muck with my head.
Just breakers and seafood and soft wind with a laptop and an evergoing Energizer Bunny battery for the laptop to blog away.....
*sigh*
