'It's All Their Fault' Cries An Unrepentant Barack

Barack Obama continued to shirk any responsibility for the nation's economic woes, claiming the melt down in the financial sector in 2007-2008 had nothing to do with the government's intrusion into the banking market under President Clinton and his AG Janet Reno, and ignoring the roles played by Democrat controlled House and Senate committees in brushing aside the regulators that by law were required to attempt to protect the nation from just such a melt down. Instead, Maxine Waters and Barney Frank were quite happy to allow Howard Raines to continue the unstable and unsupportable lending practices until they resulted in disastrous crash in the Fall of 2008.
He (Barack) said Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out. Now that progress has been made, he said, "we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."
Nice visual. Imagine if Christine O'Donnell had said that about the Dems. Who's writing this stuff on the tele-prompter?

The people that are elected by the people are in the drivers seat, whether the president recognizes that fact or not.
"Nor was his greeting totally friendly in Rhode Island where Obama has pointedly declined to endorse his party's candidate for governor.

Obama can "take his endorsement and shove it," declared Democrat Frank Caprio, battling Republican-turned-independent Lincoln Chafee in a gubernatorial race rated tight..."
Geez, that's a mouthful. How are things going over there? Don't want him to stick around, eh? Not everyone happy over there, eh?
"Democrats relied on more than the president's time to boost their chances in the final days of the campaign. There was the matter of federal funds, too, in the form of hundreds of millions in grants announced during the day to provide high speed rail service in California, between Chicago and Iowa, and elsewhere. Administration officials left it to Democratic lawmakers to make the announcements..."
Big handouts for the people voting "D". These guys are shameless.
"Eight days before the election, the principal uncertainty concerned the size and scope of anticipated Democratic losses in the House, the Senate, governor's races and state legislatures."
The concern is all on the part of the Democrats. The people are not concerned about the size of the losses the Democrats will face.

  1. I can't wait 'til he starts foaming at the mouth! He surely can't be far from it...

  2. The man is obstinate. Though his party is looking to loose major seats, he has no intention of softening his position or reaching out to Republicans to try to work with the new power in Congress.

    What a jewel.

  3. He's like the Renaissance popes sill living decadently and railing against others while the churches empty and everyone dies of syphilis. I can't bear to watch this anymore, James, it depresses me too much! Yet I do follow politics. But I have found solace of late in being literary, creative, and focused on culture and religion and things a bit apart from partisanship. It's too bad we must pay attention to things like midterm elections. I'd rather forget the whole affair.

  4. Will America lie down while this guy leads us into serfdom, or will we stand up and tell him 'No'. Talk about buyer's remorse. However, this guy is like one of those girlfriend's that doesn't take break-ups well. This could get ugly.

And Coco, you can call me whatever suites, but my friends call me Jim.
