O'Donnell Admits To Appearance On Maher Show

Christine O'Donnell, who won the GOP Senatorial primary in Delaware, admitted to having committed the gaff of appearing on Bill Maher's talk show in the late 1990's.

The judgement lapse is seen as potentially damaging to the young Senate hopeful. Guests on the Maher show typically are either well past their sell by date, or are yet to have been recognized as having any significant merit for the viewing market.

The disquieting revelation of an event from eleven years back is seen by some as placing in question O'Donnell's taste and judgment. Maher, known throughout the industry as a pathetic windbag, attempts to pass his snarky comments off as witty and intellectually interesting. Politically Incorrect, as the show was disingenuously titled, was anything but. Listeners were nightly treated to his recantation of left leaning politics and societal psycho-babble. His show had been cancelled after he thought to correct President Bush following the 9/11 attacks.  This is the same Bill Maher who today believes Christine O'Donnell has shown questionable judgment... as a teenager.

For his part, Bill Maher has committed to continue showing re-runs of his 1999 shows in an attempt to flag his flailing ratings. The playboy mansion frequenter and Hugh Hefner want-a-be has pledged to flog this horse till it drops.

O'Donnell has passed off the appearance as a youthful indiscretion.

  1. I went to a Catholic high school and a Catholic University, and somewhere between my sophomore and junior years of the liberal arts education I received there, I became an agnostic. Three years later I became a Christian, and have been ever since. That's been a really good thing for me. The searching was a part of the finding. I'd be happy to tell Mr. Maher how little I value his opinion if he thinks that somehow disqualifies me from voicing a political position today.

  2. What does Maher care who she dated in high school or whether or not her teen years were ever spent before a Ouija board made by our friends at Hasbro?

If it was a date he was looking for, none of these items would be in the least bit of a disqualifier. If anything, they would be a curious item of interest for the wild hair that grows up this clown's ass. So why does the Politically Incorrect Maher think it is important to get this information out to the general public? It is because he thinks he can discredit her with the conservative base.

    Nope. Try again, pal.

  3. Maher's on a roll. I think he ought to stick with the re-runs for the rest of the year.

Contributing to that dolt's financial success 22 times is quite the serious charge. As a Christian, I can forgive her though. Even Ann Coulter makes that mistake to this day. Maher trying to become relevant again? Understandable. HBO might not even know that he has a show there.

Growing up, thinking that I would marry Elizabeth Montgomery some day, I can certainly empathize with O'Donnell. Witchcraft can have an appeal. I can only imagine what Barack Obama was "dabbling in" when he was going by the name of Barry at the same age as O'Donnell and posing for pictures with the joint in his mouth wearing a white hat. After Labor Day, most likely. But that along with all the other details are sealed.

  6. Darrell's right. Twenty two appearances is cause for concern. I mean, at what point do you not say to yourself "This guy... !" For me it would be early - as in within about five minutes of listening to that tenor of false superiority.

One thing I will say though: Maher has the perfect voice for liberals. That smirking, nasal, sneering delivery. Brilliant!

  7. Within hours of the attacks, President Bush twice used the c-word to describe the terrorists' plot. In a statement at an Air Force base in Louisiana, he declared, "Freedom itself was attacked this morning by a faceless coward … . Make no mistake: the U.S. will hunt down and punish those responsible for these cowardly acts."

The House and Senate soon followed suit. A joint resolution passed the next night labeled the suicide hijackings as "heinous and cowardly attacks."

An alternative view came from Bill Maher, host of the ABC late-night talk show Politically Incorrect. "We have been the cowards, lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That's cowardly," Maher said on the show last week. "Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it's not cowardly."

That is a smallish, stupid thing to say. An alternative view? A stupid ass view, meant to strike us as coming from someone willing to think outside the box. It's incredibly insensitive and lame. Killing innocent people who cannot defend themselves is cowardly. The fact that you plan it from a cave in Afghanistan or from a mosque in Jersey does not make it any less cowardly. As for the creeps that carried out the attacks, it appears only the jihadis trained to fly the planes into the buildings were told that that was the plan. The other hijackers there to provide the strength to overpower the crew were as surprised to find themselves all killed as the rest of the passangers. That means that the planners presumed to throw the lives of their followers away without their knowledge or consent. That's creppy and sickening, and yes, cowardly. Which leaves the pilots. Somehow promising these guys the seventy-two virgins somehow sold them on the plan. All I can say for them is that they allowed others to take advantage of them for things that no one can promise or deliver on. Pathetic.

President Bush was on the money. The people that planned and executed the 9/11 attacks were cowardly. And Maher was full of himself to correct the president, and showed extremely poor judgment and sensitivity.

Now he wants to ridicule a teenager, and sink her hopes to become a senator.

    Well, he's consistent, anyway.

    Pathetic.

  8. Bill Maher is just another typical hanky-twisting bedwetter peddling Progressivist twaddle like he's the New Messiah...yes, even newer than the one whos Kool-Aid he chugs.

  9. As to the bedwetting I cannot comment from an informed position.

But the rest of the description sounds right.
